This is my after school schedule today.
-4 pm take JP to scouts. (They had to meet a half hour earlier to make it to city hall before it closed).
-4:30 take Bubba to scouts.
-5 pick up JP.
-5:30 pick up Bubba.
-6:30 take JP to swimming lessons.

At some point we have to do homework and practice piano as well. Oh the joys of being a mom. I have no idea how moms with more kids do it. Actually, you probably just couldn't allow your kids to have any extracurricular activities.

Twistin' the Night Away

Dad and Coconut playing a game called Angry Birds on both iphones. (He kept the old one so the kids could play games on it).

The boys played Twister the other night. Dad was the spinner. I even took a turn spinning so dad could play one game. Coconut was so cute playing because obviously he doesn't know right from left yet so we would just tell him to put a hand or foot on the color.

My OCD kicked in pretty bad the other day and I cleaned my garage out. I've had a TON of stuff in there planning a yard sale. I was going to do it last summer while my mom was here, but we went on our trip, so it's just been sitting there. I picked through everything and picked the best baby clothes to sell, along with the pack and play, highchair, baby spinny thing, double stroller, and a few other things. So we were taking stuff to the DI after school and the song "Brass Monkey" by the Beastie Boys came on the radio. My kids love the Beastie Boys. Coconut shouts energetically from the backseat, "It's 'Brass Monkey' mom!" And then proceeded to sing along. At one point while I was cleaning the garage I came in the house to get the camera to take a picture of something for Craigslist. I get easily distracted when cleaning and opened the freezer for some reason (I can't remember why). Anyway, I started pulling old stuff out that was freezer burnt or had just plain been in there too long. I ended up making tons of room and I organized each shelf into certain items. It felt good when I was done. Halfway through I realized I had been doing another project first so went back out to finish up.

Last night-since we still had the ladder up from putting stuff away in the attic-I had B bring it in and I climbed up to our plant shelf above our front door. I didn't realize I was afraid of heights until then. The scary part wasn't the climbing, but the part where I had to get off the ladder and onto the shelf. I vaccumed and then washed all the levels of dirt off. It looked like the haunted mansion in the window up there.

JP has had arthritis for a year now. He's been taking a new medication so he won't continue to have the weight loss. It's in pre-filled syringes and it's burns going in. Fortunately there is one that you can mix on your own that doesn't burn. We have two more pre-filled ones left before we can get those. Poor little guy. He finally filled his sticker chart that we started for getting shots. He chose one of those habitats that you find with the bug catching stuff in the toy section for his prize. And got one of those little tiny water frogs to go in it. Coconut insisted on getting one too so he used some birthday money for that. JP also started the next level of swim lessons. They started the butterfly and afterwards his teacher came over and told me that he's a butterflier. He looks great doing it. I told him that could be his event at the Olympics. He thought that would be really cool to make it to the Olympics.
